Putting All of Yourself In

Many of us, from time to time, go through the motions of everyday life. We get up and begin our daily routines without any hesitation. Consequently, a lot of us proceed through our days that way. In the end we eventually create repetitious regimens that we get stuck with.

Well if any of that describes you, then this entry is for you! Life was not designed to be repetious and boring! You were created to fill a purpose! Many of us miss this because we let the obstacles of life get in the way of living.

Here are a couple of things you can do to change the outcome of a mundane life:
1. Make an intentional schedule of your day to day activities.
With this you can track your activity and see where your days
are getting off!
2. Get into an exercise routine! As a Team Beachbody Coach I
highly recommend this option! Getting into shape and
taking control of your health creates a new normal!
3. Get an accountability partner! This option works well with
point #2. Accountability partners a lot of times come in
many forms and they often end up being good long term
       relationships.
4. This is the most direct one, make the necessary changes cor you! Put your whole self into your day to day life and reflect on your direction! Become your own source of encouragement to make strides in this life! Your drive will increase once you find your purpose and passion!

Latest Thoughts....

Hello Health and Wellness world! It has been a minute since I put anything up on this blog but a lot of thoughts on the brain. The mind is an interesting place... It allows you to go places you never thought possible. Some may have limited views on how far they can go, whether it be success driven or goal driven, some can't see beyond their circumstances.

I personally believe that when it comes to reaching goals and new levels you have to have a made up mind to get there. Its what I like to call "settled issues." Many people don't give into that notion and let negative thinking take them out of their walk. Walking towards better health means there will have to better choices made made in your eating and exercise regiment. Nay sayers will always be around to try and discourage and disdain the direction of the focused. So with the "settled issue" mentality you have by default made a clear path for you and your journey

After completing the Les Mills Combat journey I made my next program choice carefully. I wanted to put on muscle and I chose Body Beast. I am only a week and a half into the journey and it has already prove to challenging. I went from HIIT type workouts to an actual bodybuilding routine. I will get into details on that in another entry. I used that as an illustration to show that a made up mind will keep you when you are focused on your goals and in my case I want to put on muscle by the summer and Body Beast is going to get me there.

I know this entry was kinda all over the place but that is how my mind is focusing these days. The one take away from this entry is to have a mindset that has "settled issues". This keep you from having too many decisions to make!!!!

Discipline: The Key to Real Change

Discipline is often described as training that corrects, molds, or perfects the mental faculties or moral character or control gained by enforcing obedience or order.  A number of people miss this concept when aiming to make changes in their lives. The concept of discipline is often mistaken as a word used to infuse punishment when on contrary it is the complete opposite! In fact the concept of discipline comes from a concept of wanting to have boundaries on areas that will keep you focused on your goals. Discipline is the direct result of focus and it prints the road map to get you to your goals!

So if you are gauged on setting some life changing habits, start with the concept of the theme of  DISCIPLINE!!! Making changes in workouts, nutrition, or lifestyle will point you to focus and discipline!!!

Where Are You Now?

It seems most of us came into the New Year focused and ready to make those changes that will get us to the next level. Some us made commitments to saving money, some committed to getting in shape and living healthier, and others wanted to give up various things.

Well we are almost two complete months into the New Year and my question is "where are you now?" The fact is a lot of people get discouraged around this time of year and they give up on their goals. At this rate a lot of gyms become empty, income tax money is blown, and people go back to their old ways that they say they left in last year!

Here is a thought, "those goals that you have abandoned, they are still yours!" That's right, you own the rights to them. When you commit to something, in any form of fashion, you, by default, sign a mental contract. Once it is a done deal you owe it to yourself to see that obligations arr fulfilled. There are some things that were thought of that only you could accomplish for yourself. No one else can get shape for you or save your money for you! These are things, once accomplished, will give you a sense of ownership like nothing else!

So if you have fallen off of the wagon get back up! It's not too late to put those plans into action and make those changes you need to make for yourself!

Are you not Motivated?

Motivation is an interesting factor because it can come in so many forms for different people. The fact that motivation can occur in any circumstance or state makes it kind of a random event.

Well this entry is about the most obvious form of motivation and that is the one that comes from YOU! That's right you are can be an excellent source for your own motivation. Whether its getting up and exercising, eating healthier, or starting a new running regiment it all starts with you. The very reason you decide to commit to a  lifestyle change can be the very thing that keeps you motivated through the process.

It's great to have people in your corner to support you but there is nothing like being a self starter and your own cheerleader!
