Progress!!!

Being on a journey comes with a lot of ups and downs. Since starting BodyBeast on the second round, a lot of things have slowed me from progressing as far and as fast as I want to go. I made up in my mind that I would push through these three months with no interference from the outside.

What I have come to understand is that on a journey of any kind you phases of progression. Those different phases all look different but the key to getting through is staying focused on your goal. While other things may go on around my world I have to keep in mind that I have set to accomplish something and that keeps me in the process and keeps me on the road to progress!!!

Wellness Revolution

When you dive into getting to optimum health and wellness you can take many approaches. Never being one dimensional with the decision to has always been the approach from my personal experience. One thing that I have always been a advocate of is taking the Divine given approach to health and that is doing the natural way! In some instances that makes it Revolutionary because you are going against what the system says! By system I am speaking of those companies that promise weight loss from taking a pill or using surgery as a means of dropping the pounds! Sometimes surgery maybe an only option if the situation is severe, but never the first line of defense when you want to get the pounds off!

Life Flow Wellness is officially jumping off a Wellness Revolution that will focus on taking on dis-eases head on! Its easy to talk about the problems that Americans face when it comes to taking care of our health and wellness, but its another thins when we become proactive and take on the problems!

Putting All of Yourself In

Many of us, from time to time, go through the motions of everyday life. We get up and begin our daily routines without any hesitation. Consequently, a lot of us proceed through our days that way. In the end we eventually create repetitious regimens that we get stuck with.

Well if any of that describes you, then this entry is for you! Life was not designed to be repetious and boring! You were created to fill a purpose! Many of us miss this because we let the obstacles of life get in the way of living.

Here are a couple of things you can do to change the outcome of a mundane life:
1. Make an intentional schedule of your day to day activities.
With this you can track your activity and see where your days
are getting off!
2. Get into an exercise routine! As a Team Beachbody Coach I
highly recommend this option! Getting into shape and
taking control of your health creates a new normal!
3. Get an accountability partner! This option works well with
point #2. Accountability partners a lot of times come in
many forms and they often end up being good long term
       relationships.
4. This is the most direct one, make the necessary changes cor you! Put your whole self into your day to day life and reflect on your direction! Become your own source of encouragement to make strides in this life! Your drive will increase once you find your purpose and passion!

Features and more....

It has been a minute since this blog was last updated and I apologize in for the absence. Let me start this entry off by telling you all who have been followers or readers of this blog thank you for your interest in what we offer as a health and wellness movement. The idea of Life Flow Wellness is all about encompasses more than just giving you all of the aspects of health and wellness, but we also serve as an source for building a foundation for a well rounded culture. A culture that exists with the pride of community, fruition of growth and maturity, and also the cultivation of raising a higher standard of class (raising the bar on normal).

My vision for creating this blog was so that health and wellness could be discussed on a broader scale and bring the public the truths of what is killing our communities. It is and has been proven over and over that communities are destroyed because ill thinking and ill will plague the mind of the people before the seeds that are planted can reach full maturity! Life Flow Wellness was founded to bring back that  focus of what it means to be whole, therefore we are cultivated in a holistic movement!

This is an ongoing initiative that won't take merely existing as the normal and will not rest until people are living! With the meaning of living we are aimed at seeing people live out their purpose and fulfilling the plans for their lives! That takes the vitality of life to accomplish and Life Flow Wellness is designed to support the community in this very effort!

We are looking for health and wellness success stories and we want to celebrate your accomplishments with you! So if you have any that you want to be featured just leave a message on our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/pages/Life-Flow-Wellness/147378452010868

Latest Thoughts....

Hello Health and Wellness world! It has been a minute since I put anything up on this blog but a lot of thoughts on the brain. The mind is an interesting place... It allows you to go places you never thought possible. Some may have limited views on how far they can go, whether it be success driven or goal driven, some can't see beyond their circumstances.

I personally believe that when it comes to reaching goals and new levels you have to have a made up mind to get there. Its what I like to call "settled issues." Many people don't give into that notion and let negative thinking take them out of their walk. Walking towards better health means there will have to better choices made made in your eating and exercise regiment. Nay sayers will always be around to try and discourage and disdain the direction of the focused. So with the "settled issue" mentality you have by default made a clear path for you and your journey

After completing the Les Mills Combat journey I made my next program choice carefully. I wanted to put on muscle and I chose Body Beast. I am only a week and a half into the journey and it has already prove to challenging. I went from HIIT type workouts to an actual bodybuilding routine. I will get into details on that in another entry. I used that as an illustration to show that a made up mind will keep you when you are focused on your goals and in my case I want to put on muscle by the summer and Body Beast is going to get me there.

I know this entry was kinda all over the place but that is how my mind is focusing these days. The one take away from this entry is to have a mindset that has "settled issues". This keep you from having too many decisions to make!!!!

What's on your Journey?

As I sit and contemplate on the idea of being on a journey to better health and wellness, I always seem to veer back to the days that prompted me to begin in the first place. While in my college days I had little, if any, notion that I was living in complete disarray. My mind was the furthest thing away from living a life of wellness!

In my case I was knowledgeable of my family's history of high cholesterol, obesity, hypertension, and diabetes. All of these are some of the top dis-eases that plague the African American community. Even with the knowing I didn't do anything to be preventative. Taking for granted that I wouldn't become the next victim of these dis-eases walked me right into that trap. At the age of 27 I was diagnosed with high cholesterol and hypertension. Even with that being a reality I made moderate changes but nothing that would constitute a lifestyle overhaul.

Between being a student at Life University and landing in the lap of Team BeachBody , my eyes were opened to the world of health and fitness! While at Life University I began to learn what it was to walk in that lifestyle. Pretty much everyone on the campus lived by some kind of wellness regiment. Every aspect from veganism and vegetarianism to.professional natural bodybuilders existed. This influenced my thinking on holistic health a lot!

The hook for me getting into thr health and wellness industry came in the form of Team BeachBody. My first experience with BeachBody came through P90X. I lost a good bit of weight and even toned up some. After that I decided to become a Team BeachBody Coach because it provided me a lane to motivate people to get up and get to moving!

To make a long story short, this is the journey that allowed the vision of Life Flow Wellness to have life! If you are ready to begin a journey start with letting Life Flow Wellness become partner! You can begin by clicking on the Holistic Community link at the top of the page and creating a free account. By letting me become your Coach you are open to a motivating community that will walk with you on your journey!!!

Discipline: The Key to Real Change

Discipline is often described as training that corrects, molds, or perfects the mental faculties or moral character or control gained by enforcing obedience or order.  A number of people miss this concept when aiming to make changes in their lives. The concept of discipline is often mistaken as a word used to infuse punishment when on contrary it is the complete opposite! In fact the concept of discipline comes from a concept of wanting to have boundaries on areas that will keep you focused on your goals. Discipline is the direct result of focus and it prints the road map to get you to your goals!

So if you are gauged on setting some life changing habits, start with the concept of the theme of  DISCIPLINE!!! Making changes in workouts, nutrition, or lifestyle will point you to focus and discipline!!!
